P1/2 Reading

Today everyone had some free time reading.  We got out lots of the Oxford Reading Tree books for everyone to choose from.  Some children set themselves challenges to see how many books they could read in a set time, to read 6-10 books and to read a tricky book. At the end, we spent time sorting the reading books into piles of the same books so they are easier to put away.

Everyone had a great time and thought we should do it again some day!

Red Nose Day 2017

For Red Nose Day this year we raised money by wearing red to school, the staff wore mustaches all afternoon and we had an extra special Golden Time.  The whole school had a joke-athon before splitting into different activities which included decorating biscuits, singing, designing red noses and playing dodgeball.  To end the day the whole school had a dance-athon.  A total of £255 was raised!  Thank you to everyone for their kind donations.

Dinosaur Show Characters

P1 and P2 decorated their character pictures for their dinosaur show.  They worked very well in their teams.  The children showed some excellent leadership, team working, communication and creative skills.  The afternoon was completely child led.
