This week there was a Rufous Turtle Dove in our playground! It was only the 3rd Shetland record, less than 20 have occurred in the UK! Scott’s Grandad first spotted the rare bird on Monday and on Tuesday some bird watchers came up to North Roe to see the Rufous Turtle Dove. The bird has probably come all the way from Russia!
