We would like to say a big thank you to the ‘Shetland Community Benefit Fund’ who kindly provided funding for us to buy new puddle suits and jackets. The children have been very excited to try these out and have been amazed that they can now sit down in puddles without getting their clothes wet!

All families were invited to come along to our ELC Christmas party. We performed our Christmas songs, played some party games and had a visit from a very special man. We then shared a Christmas snack before home time.

Come along and take part in some fun number quizzes, have a go at our board games and take home tips and advice how to improve your everyday numeracy skills.
Come along for an informal chat and a bit of fun, we’re here to help.

On Friday we said goodbye to Mrs Hardy from the ELC. She has been at the Mossbank ELC for many years and will be a great miss by pupils and staff. We had a lovely Tea Party with some great food, that staff had made. We hope you enjoy your next adventures Mrs Hardy!

Primary 1-7 recently had the change to visit the “Art’s Cool” exhibition in the Gadderie at the Shetland Museum & Archives in Lerwick. It was a showcase of artwork created in school by primary and secondary students in Shetland – and featured a woven tapestry made by Primary 4-7 during the last school year! We were all super-impressed and inspired by the tremendous work on show. Thank you to Ailish and Karen for showing us around!

On Wednesday we had our first school trip for 2 years.
We started at Scalloway Museum, where there is a lot of information about Scalloway and Shetland through from the Ice Age to present day.
Thank you to William for opening the Museum for us and all the interesting facts we learned.

We then went to the Scalloway Play Park.

We had lunch at Bridge End Community Hall. A huge thank you to the Bridge End hall committee for opening the hall and setting out the tables and chairs, a lovely warm welcome on a slightly drizzly day.

Our last visit of the day was to The Outpost, an amazing place to visit and we made lots of new friends.
Thank yo so much to Dave, Gemma and Margaret Ann for an unforgettable experience.

The day finished with a long bus journey home, but after such a good day spirits were still high
