I went to Skibhoul Bakery in Unst on 17 March. I had to put on the hairnet and hat and apron to stop my hair falling in the oatcakes and keep me clean. Then I had to wash my hands to get any germs off of me. My first job was putting the oat cakes onto a big baking sheet and I had to follow the right pattern so we could fit the most on a tray. Then I had to put the trays into the rack for the oven. When the rack was full I put the rack into the oven.<\/p>\n

My next job was to help mix oatmeal mixture and then I put them on the trays for the oven. I had to help set the timer for the oven and take them out when the alarm went off.<\/p>\n

When everything was baked and cooled then I packed them into the packaging and had to make sure they were the right weight. If they were too light I had to put an extra one in.<\/p>\n

I helped to put the expiration date stickers on the packets and then I put the full packets into a box ready to be sold.<\/p>\n

I used maths skills, I had to listen carefully to instructions and I had to make sure I followed the safety rules in the bakery. I had to work with new people in a team.<\/p>\n
