On\u00a0 29 May 2025 our P7 pupils took part in the Shetland Primary Schools Hockey Festival in Brae, proudly representing Mid Yell with fantastic enthusiasm and team spirit. Across eight matches, the team delivered a strong performance winning three, drawing two, and losing three showing great resilience and determination throughout.<\/p>\n

There were some fantastic skills on display, with exciting attacking play and strong, committed defending from all involved. The pupils worked brilliantly as a team, supporting one another and showing real progress in both their individual and team play.<\/p>\n

The day began with beautiful weather, but it wasn\u2019t long before the skies opened and heavy rain poured down. Despite the wet and windy conditions, the players kept their spirits high and continued to give their all right to the final whistle.<\/p>\n

A huge thank you to Active Schools for organising and hosting such a brilliant event. It was a great opportunity for pupils to develop their hockey skills, enjoy competitive sport, and connect with others. We\u2019re already looking forward to taking part again next year!<\/p>\n
