World Book Day 2024

We had a great World Book Day with lots of activities. Children dressed up as book characters and we used a green screen app which placed the children on their book front covers. We also had reading buddies and then made bookmarks, both of which children in the upper class led. We then designed our own book covers. A great day all round!

Lunnasting call-out 01/03/24 and Friday Fun

A quick, 4 day week, but managed to cram in lots of learning and fun! Well done to this week’s Lunnasting Call-outs: Ciaran, Alice and Ashlyn.

A massive thank-you to Liz, who took a group for Stop Motion animation during Friday Fun. The children loved it and managed to create super videos in a short space of time!

Mrs Meier’s surprise party

Mrs Meier had her last day at Lunnasting Primary on Wednesday for this academic year. We threw her a surprise party and had a ball. We will miss Mrs Meier greatly, but are so proud of her and think she’ll do a great job as Acting Head Teacher at Nesting Primary School.

Lunnasting Call-out and Friday Fun 02/02/24

Well done to our Lunnasting Call-out certificate holders today. They have all demonstrated the values of our school.

We are very lucky to have such amazing volunteers from the community come in every week for our Friday Fun. Today we had cooking with Susie and Carol, music with Mr Blyth and knitting with Kim and Brenda. We also had our very own lovely Tori and Leona take a group to create their own Marble Mazes.
