We were delighted to raise £117 for Children in Need. The children could wear pyjamas/dress up as Pudsey. They spent a fun afternoon doing various activities.

Visitors – Sea Creatures
This week we were very lucky and had a visit from Richard and James who took in some sea creatures for us to see. The pupils had a chance to look at, feel and hold some of these. This linked in to the topics of Pirates and Mermaids which the Early Years have been doing and Seashore which P1-3 have been doing this term.
New playground equipment
There was lots of fun in the sun today on the new playground equipment. Thank you to the Parent Council and the Garden Gang for all their help in fundraising for and installation of, this super addition to our grounds.

We have made the most of the lovely days this week and had lots of outdoor learning. We also went to the playpark for our Friday Fun. It’s a super opportunity for all children to mix. Well done to our Lunnasting Call-outs this week!
First week of term
Welcome back to the first week of the school term. It has been so lovely to see everyone back in the school after so long! We have recommenced our daily mile and got used to our new classes. Well done everyone on such a super start!
Last day of term
Happy Summer holidays everyone! We enjoyed the Lunnasting Cinema, followed by Margaret’s amazing picnic lunch (indoors due to our Shetland Summer!) then a disco to celebrate the end of term. Goodbye to our super Primary 7s! We’ll miss you!
Leavers’ Assembly
Our Leavers’Assembly was held on Wednesday 26 June. We said goodbye to our P7 pupils, P1-3 Teacher, Miss Gifford; our cleaner-in-charge, Caroline Robertson and Playground Supervisor, Heather Couper. They will all be missed and we wish them every success in the future.
