Happy New Year P2-4.\u00a0 Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.<\/p>\n

I hope you are all out enjoying the snow.\u00a0 There is lots of it.\u00a0 Here are some activities you could try when you are out and about:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Make some snow sculptures either an animal, a shape or write the first letter of your name.<\/li>\n
  2. Look at everyone’s footprints.\u00a0 Who has the largest or the smallest and who has the best grips underfoot.<\/li>\n
  3. Go on a nature walk and look for animal prints in the snow. (I did this yesterday and saw sheep’s prints and the cat next door who had been across to our house!)\u00a0 Look around for other nature.\u00a0 I watched sheep huddling from my window the other day – all keeping each other warm.<\/li>\n
  4. Make a family of snowmen.\u00a0 Make a snowman and then measure how tall it is – use your hands or something outside to help measure.\u00a0 Can you now build a shorter one?<\/li>\n
  5. Persuade a family member to come out sledging.\u00a0 Great snow for that.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once back inside you could try cutting out some snowflake patterns or make a snow day cozy corner and snuggle up with some books and a blanket.\u00a0 Make a nice hot drink and get warmed up!<\/p>\n
