Developmental Overview from NHS Setland<\/strong><\/p>\n

Developmental overviews are a valuable tool for observing and supporting children\u2019s
\ndevelopmental milestones. Developmental overviews are snapshots that help practitioners
\nunderstand a child\u2019s current stage of development and to plan appropriate next steps. The Developmental Overviews are split across 7 key areas of development as follows:<\/p>\n

The columns are:
\n\u2022 Movement
\n\u2022 Co-ordination
\n\u2022 Routines
\n\u2022 Social and Emotional
\n\u2022 Play and Imagination
\n\u2022 Understanding Language
\n\u2022 Using Language<\/p>\n

Child development is a unique process, with each child progressing at their own pace. These
\ndevelopmental milestones provide a general guide for children\u2019s progress however, it is
\nimportant to recognise that each child may reach these milestones at different times.<\/p>\n
