p7 had a brilliant day learning about STEM opportunities within Shetland. \u00a0They used power tools to put trusses on a roof, experienced the navigation simulator- steering the Northlink ferry! \u00a0They designed and created pylons and electricity cables and programmed robots. \u00a0They met lots of exhibitors asking them questions about their stem journey. \u00a0Pupils were encouraged to engage by gaining a raffle ticket for every question they asked. \u00a0At the end of the afternoon one of the boys won a Kindle Fire. \u00a0SSE sponsored the event. \u00a0Our pupils got so much out of it and loved all the freebies!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
