Gym Day!<\/p>\n

Today since it was such a rainy day we all headed to the gym hall.\u00a0 We started with a game of ‘the floor is lava’.\u00a0 Everyone joined in, listening carefully to the music and how to move their bodies.<\/p>\n

After a few games, we brought out some extra equipments to help burn off some energy indoors.\u00a0 The children enjoyed:<\/p>\n

Balancing on the bench then jumping off and landing safely.<\/p>\n

Throwing beanbags into a target.<\/p>\n

Bouncing on the trampoline.<\/p>\n

Bat and ball games.<\/p>\n

Body boards.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This allowed for lots of opportunities to develop gross motor skills, learning to listen to instructions, moving our bodies in different ways, balance and coordination skills.<\/p>\n
