This week we have moved on to the sense of ‘smell’.\u00a0 \u00a0The children have been making scented cloud dough, spice painting and painting with herbal teas.\u00a0 There has been lots of discussion around favourite smells and trying to work out what things were by guessing the smell.<\/p>\n

Inside the children have enjoyed pattern making and making different models with the stacking rainbow toy.\u00a0 The rainbow has been a mermaids tail and a gateway into Jurassic park.<\/p>\n

The children have spent so much time playing out in the snow this week.\u00a0 \u00a0Great fun was had sliding down the hill in the garden. There was also lots of problem solving going on, working out the best way to get back up the hill as it was so slippy.\u00a0 \u00a0The snow was also a great blank canvas for practicing mark making skills.\u00a0 The children found sticks to draw with and practice writing their names and using the pipets with coloured water to make different shapes and pictures.<\/p>\n
