Playing in the porch:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The children have all been very keen to jump in the porch, so today we carefully built a platform.\u00a0 \u00a0As we were building we talked about making sure we built a stable base so that it wouldn’t wobble and fall over.\u00a0 \u00a0We also talked about how to stay safe when jumping – taking turns, going one at a time, not jumping too far out and not jumping with our hands in our pockets.<\/p>\n

This later developed into wanting to throw objects at a block for a target.\u00a0 One child thought it would be good to have a target so together we went on the laptop to see what a target could look like.\u00a0 We then found the colours and together glued them together.\u00a0 \u00a0There was then lots of good aiming practice.\u00a0 What a good idea!<\/p>\n

Chinese New Year:<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the children brought in some of the things they had been doing at home for Chinese New Year to share with all their friends.\u00a0 Everyone was very interested and keen to get involved.\u00a0 One of the things they brought in was some puppets that they had made of the different Chinese New Year animals, so we brought down the puppet show.\u00a0 This then inspired some of the other children who wanted to make their own puppets and masks.<\/p>\n
