<\/p>\nThe children have been showing a growing interest in den building, leading us to extend their play by adding a dark den to the porch area.\u00a0 We made it warm and inviting with the cosy blankets and the children were immediately drawn to the new space.<\/p>\n

Inside the den the children asked to have the coloured torches and they spent a lot of time experimenting with the lights in the dark space. The children added the coloured cones to the den and were very excited to see how the torchlight shone through the cones, making them glow.<\/p>\n

The dark den also inspired some of the other children to get creative and make their own dark den with the big blocks, showing great teamwork and problem solving as they constructed their space.<\/p>\n
