Clay offers a different sensory experience to playdough with it being more firm but still malleable for the children to use.<\/p>\n<p>There was lots of super descriptive language used as they explore the clay and its texture.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It feels like concrete&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;it feels soft&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s strong&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The children went on to create some wonderful pieces, with one of the children even leading a small art class on making a little teapot with the clay.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;First you do a ball,\u00a0 then you flatten a piece, then you push it on top, then you need another ball that&#8217;s tiny and stick it on top, then you make a handle and this bit and stick it on like this.\u00a0 Then you made a teapot&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;i had fun with the clay&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;i am a maker&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We will be exploring the clay a lot more throughout the
