Here are a few ideas for what you could do today. Don’t worry you don’t need to do everything, these are just a few suggestions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have fun outdoors. <\/strong>
\n\u2022\tTry building a snow family with different heights of snowmen
\n\u2022\tBuild an igloo out of snow blocks- use an ice cream tub as a mould
\n\u2022\tCreate targets to fire snowballs at
\n Be first to get outside and see if you can make your own snowflake design in the snow, just using your footprints and walking around very carefully. Remember that snowflakes have 6 points.
\n\u2022\tIf you have a sledge, find a safe slope to sledge down
\n\u2022\tTry capturing your fun on your camera or tablet and make a movie about it
\n\u2022\tPractise your spelling words by writing with a stick in the snow
\n\u2022\tMake an ice sculpture by collecting leaves, shells, fruit etc and putting them into an empty jar with some water and a looped ribbon sticking out of the top. Freeze it in the freezer then hang it outside as a decoration
\nIndoors<\/strong>
\n\u2022\tWhen you have had enough of outdoor fun and need to warm up, write a story or news report about your day. If you create a report, why not film yourself reading it in the style of a newscaster and add footage from outside?
\nIn the song \u2018Let it Go\u2019 from Frozen there is a line that says \u2018in frozen fractals all around\u2019. Find out what fractals are and have a go at drawing your own.
\n\u2022\tLook up the weather from around the world. Create a weather map showing the world weather using symbols and a key. Create questions to ask of your map e.g. Where is the coldest place? What is the difference in temperature between the hottest and coldest places?
\n\u2022\tCreate a poem about a winter\u2019s day
\n\u2022\tLook out of the window and sketch the scene you see. Try using pastels or paint if you have them
\n\u2022\tWatch a movie and write a review to share with the class when you return to school
\n\u2022\tResearch an animal that lives in a cold place and create a fact file.
