We hope you received your Learner Led Event invitation in your child’s Diary.\u00a0 We are looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 29th from 5:00 – 6:30.\u00a0 The pupils are excited to show you around!<\/p>\n

We have been a little quiet on here recently…so apologies for that!\u00a0 We have still be really busy though!\u00a0 It’s been so lovely to have some sunny days and we enjoyed taking time to read outside during ERIC time.<\/p>\n

Our World War 2 Topic is well under way!\u00a0 The children have been finding out about what life was like during this time in History and have been set the task of finding out about their own family’s involvement in the War as part of a Home Learning Task.\u00a0 We are really looking forward to hearing some special stories!<\/p>\n

Our main focus for Writing this term is Functional Writing.\u00a0 With Mrs Henderson, the class have been looking at the main features of newspaper report writing with the view to creating their own World War reports.<\/p>\n

We used real newspapers to spot some key features in report writing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

With Mrs Smith, the class have explored advertising and how writing is used to persuade.\u00a0 The children have worked with enthusiasm when creating their own brand of cereal.\u00a0 Their boxes had to include many of the tried and tested ways to influence buyers!\u00a0 These boxes will be on display for you to see next week!<\/p>\n

In Maths, we have been working within the areas of Multiplication and Division and Information Handling.\u00a0 The pupils have been gathering data from the classes and our local area and have been learning about the different ways this data can be displayed.\u00a0 Please come and have a look at our results next week!<\/p>\n

In the remaining weeks, we hope to enjoy an educational trip to the Shetland Museum to learn more about the War.\u00a0 We also have a visitor coming to class who is going to help us with our Health and Wellbeing work, talking about First Aid.<\/p>\n\"1 (No Ratings Yet)
