Well good morning everyone.\u00a0 It would seem we have more snow and so here are some things to keep you busy today.\u00a0 Remember to have some time outside in the snow if you have some as fresh air and exercise are important too.<\/p>\n
Language<\/strong><\/p>\n P1<\/strong> – phonics – practise all sounds covered so far.\u00a0 Practise writing these letters too.<\/p>\n P2<\/strong> – common words – look at the attached word lists, using a dice, roll the dice and see if you can read the word, then get someone to test you on spelling it.\u00a0 There are a lot of words and sheets to choose from.<\/p>\n t-l-9610-high-frequency-roll-and-read-mats-<\/a><\/p>\n Rhyming<\/strong> – complete the rhyming worksheet.\u00a0 If you can think of anymore please add them to the\u00a0 group.\u00a0 Then make up a short story using two of the animals on the sheet and have some silly rhyming sentences in it.<\/p>\n t-or-1371-stop-telling-fibs-rhyming-words-sorting-activity_ver_1<\/a><\/p>\n Reading<\/strong> – read your reading book if you have it at home.\u00a0 If not, read another book, your library book etc and then you can tell me about it when you get back to school.\u00a0 Let me know what you thought of it and what you liked about it or didn’t like.<\/p>\n Primary 1 maths<\/strong> – Have a look at sumdog and complete the challenges that have been set there for you.<\/p>\n Topic<\/strong> – Complete the weather forecast for today on the sheet, looking and deciding on what it is like at the different stages of the day.\u00a0 If you want you can challenge yourself by finding out about the wind direction and the temperature at each stage too.\u00a0 More challenge is to see what the wind speed is too.\u00a0 Do these change at the different parts of the day?\u00a0 Sheet attached to complete and just write in the additional information.<\/p>\n roi-t-25943-my-weather-record-activity-sheet<\/a><\/p>\n Art<\/strong> – Draw a picture of what you can see today.\u00a0 You can also draw a Spring picture too.\u00a0 Although it doesn’t feel like Spring at the moment, we are now in that season!<\/p>\n Health and Wellbeing<\/strong> – if there is snow at your house and you can go outside and play in it then please do so.\u00a0 This is as good as anything.\u00a0 If you don’t want to play in the snow, how about going for a walk with someone.\u00a0 Look for unusual patterns in the snow or there is any ice around?\u00a0 Does it have a pattern?\u00a0 Find out how deep the snow is (within reason and safely).\u00a0 Does it just cover your feet?\u00a0 Is it deeper and go halfway up your legs?\u00a0 Are you knee deep?\u00a0 Build a snow sculpture if you can.<\/p>\n Please do also take care and I look forward to seeing you all again soon and hearing about your day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Well good morning everyone.\u00a0 It would seem we have more snow and so here are some things to keep you busy today.\u00a0 Remember to have some time outside in the snow if you have some as fresh air and exercise are important too.
