<\/a><\/p>\nMrs Henderson and I are so proud of all the P1\/2 pupils today!\u00a0 They have worked so hard in the run up to their Assembly and they all spoke, acted and sang their little hearts out this morning!\u00a0 Thank you to the following helpers… Mrs Casey, Miss Sandison, Mrs Inkster, John, Elizabeth Mitchell and to all the parents who have, once again, supported the children at home.\u00a0 Thank you for coming this morning.\u00a0 Can we do it all again? On Friday 29th April P1\/2 helped to do another Voar Redd Up.\u00a0 This time we walked from the school up to the Croft House Museum.\u00a0 We were surprised at how much rubbish we collected in such a short distance!\u00a0 P1\/2 put in a super effort and felt glad that they had helped clear up around their local area.<\/p>\n\n
Family and friends…please accept our invitation to see us perform in our “Growth and Change” Assembly!<\/p>\n Since the Easter holidays, P1\/2 have started to study the topic, “Growth and Change.”\u00a0 We have a few additions to our class to help us watch how some living things develop as they grow.\u00a0 At the moment, we have tadpoles and caterpillars.\u00a0 We are busy observing them each day and noting any interesting changes we see.\u00a0 It’s all very exciting!<\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n Another exciting day in P1\/2 with a visit from the Easter Bunny and the SMUHA Jarl!!\u00a0 Scott Lobban very kindly came into school to judge our wonderful galleys.\u00a0 Not a job for the faint-hearted!!\u00a0 In the end, he managed to pick three worthy winners but praised the efforts of every single pupil.\u00a0 Enjoy looking through our gallery of galleys and happy Easter holidays everyone!<\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n As the school Readathon comes to an end this week, we thought we’d like to share some photos with you and let you know how well the P1\/2 pupils have done.\u00a0 They have enjoyed reading from a wide variety of books at school and at home and have concentrated well reading alone, in pairs and to the class.\u00a0 It’s been so encouraging to see how their reading skills are developing.\u00a0 Good work P1\/2 and thank you again for supporting them with this challenge at home.<\/p>\n There was great excitement on Friday 11th March – SMUHA day!\u00a0 P1\/2 have been preparing for this day by making torches and helmets and designing shields.\u00a0 They have also been busy finding out about Viking times and making displays in their class and around the school.\u00a0 Here are some of our photos from the day.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The term is quickly coming to an end!\u00a0 We’ve really enjoyed our growing topic and finally managed to get frogs in our tank which have now been released.\u00a0 We had to be very patient!\u00a0 We’ve been busy planting broad beans, caring for them and writing about different parts of plants.\u00a0 We are looking forward to … Continue reading P1\/2<\/span> <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
