We will have a Scholastic Book Fair at Parents’ Evenings. There will be lots of excellent books on sale.
The Parent Council met last night and we have been able to confirm that there will be a creche on Monday and Tuesday evening. Children must be signed in and remain in the hall until they are signed out by parents/carers.
We will be looking for your views, as usual! Our Curriculum Rationale has been completed and we would like to hear your thoughts. You can also tell us what you thought of our Children’s Improvement Plan (CHIP.)
We will also have our new health and well being and religious and moral education resources on display for you to look through.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be set up. There are some lovely books on offer.
Your child/ren have been busy designing their Christmas cards. They will be outside classrooms on Parents Evening for you to look at and orders can be placed with Jackie Bishop at the Book Fair stall in the foyer.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there. Please check your appointment times and if you can’t make it, let us know and we will try our best to rearrange.
Thank you to all the families who attended parents’ evening last night. We had 100% attendance so we are delighted by your commitment in supporting your child’s learning.
Thanks also to our Parent Council for supplying teas and coffees and running the creche.
Thank you for helping us with our school values consultation. We will post the results after the holidays.
The Book Fair will still be available tonight and Wednesday morning until break time.
We are celebrating World Book Day a day early at Dunrossness!
In assembly we spoke about why we celebrate World Book Day and how important reading is!
We have also launched our Readathon for March. We are not fundraising this year – we are just coming off our reading schemes and encouraging the children to read for enjoyment and take part in some reading dares to broaden their reading experiences.
