Self Evaluation

To inform our School Improvement Plan for session 2016/2017 we are looking for views of all our stakeholders.

There is a questionnaire for all parents to fill in.  If you have time at Parents’ Evening you can post completed questionnaires in the post box.  If you are short on time, please take them home and return by this Friday, 25th March.

I would also welcome any suggestions and feedback.

Thank You

Ms A Henderson

Reminder – the readathon officially ends on the 24th March.  I would like to say a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone for taking part.  I hope this will have inspired our pupils to become more regular readers.  Reading has a huge impact on ALL areas of learning – the more you read the better!

Could all sponsor money be handed in by Friday 25th March.  Please see a selection of the reading books that the money will be put towards.

Thank you

Mrs Henderson

Music Festival

What a busy week we have had.

I would like to congratulate all our musicians who took part in this year’s Music Festival.  I was lucky enough to see some of the performances and was proud and delighted to see so many confident and talented musicians on stage.  The P5/6 Choir have had the honour of being asked back to play at the Gala Concert.  Well done!  Thanks to our music teachers and instructors for all their hard work and dedication.

I hope to organise an event next term where we can share all the pieces that were performed.

Drumming Celebration

Wow!  What a way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.  All classes from P1-7 had the chance to share their drumming skills with friends and family.

All the classes had prepared a really impressive piece to share.

The dancers in P5/6 deserve a special mention – a SMUHA squad of the future!

P6/7 had worked really hard to master their piece with 3 different bass drum rhythms!

Thanks to Joy Duncan for all her hard work, thanks to friends and family for coming and a special thank you to all our pupils for entertaining us all so well!

World Book Day

We launched our Readathon today.   The main aim of this project is to promote enjoyment of reading.  We hope that for the next 3 weeks all our pupils develop good reading habits which will continue after the readathon is over.
