Swap Shop

November 12, 2021 Mrs Mylett 1 Comment

The parent council held a swap shop of children’s clothes and toys on Sunday 7th November! We were pleasantly overwhelmed with the generosity of donations. We worked hard as a parent council team and it paid off. On the day we saw a huge amount of people who helped recycle our donations and raise a huge total of £2032.78 which will go towards the playground equipment.

Thank you to everyone who supported us and to the businesses that contributed to our raffle.

We look forward to updating you on the playground progress.

New Recruits!

November 5, 2021 Mrs Smith 1 Comment

The school has some new recruits!  Have you noticed them?  Thanks to  Elaine Skinley, John and our JRSOs for organising these little reminders for drivers who pass our school.  We really hope it will encourage those in our community to take extra care when passing by.

  • Stick Man May 4, 2021
The bairns found a stick in the playground one day a few weeks ago and thought it looked like Stick Man. We listened to the Stick Man Story and decided to make this our transitional story for our pre-schoolers moving up to P1. We have since watched and listened to the story and played with […]
  • Easter! April 26, 2021
At the end of last term, everyone thoroughly enjoyed our topic of Easter. We spoke about the Easter story, different signs of spring like flowers and baby animals and made lots of lovely easter crafts. We went on a sensory walk and could hear the birds and wondered what they might be up too at […]

During World Book Week Primary 1/2 watched Nick Sharratt live showing how to draw things.  He showed us how to draw a frog, a queen with a quaff, a camel and a kangaroo.  Here are some of our drawings.  We think they are pretty cool!

  • Light June 28, 2022
It has been a busy scientific term in P4/5/6!  Over the past few weeks we have explored all aspects of Light.  We learned about shadows, reflections and how light can bend when it travels through a different medium. We had fun with a periscope, looking around the room for a secret message being held up […]
  • Platinum Jubilee June 4, 2022
This week P4/5/6 have been finding out about the history of our school and they have been looking at all the amazing artefacts that have been kept following the Queen’s visit to our school in 1969, when she opened it.  Some pupils were surprised to hear that there were once 5 small village schools in […]
