Tomorrow is Feeder Sports for P5-7 at Sandwick. The forecast is looking ok so some events may be outside. Please make sure your child has jogging trousers and a hoody or jumper to wear between events to keep warm.
Can I also remind you that Sandwick school is a peanut and pineapple free zone!
Thanks to Kyle for the photos! Well done to all those who received a certificate today.
Celebration Assembly 27.4.17
There are changes afoot in our nursery provision. We have been included in the trial of the 1140 hours of provision from August. What this means is that 3/4 year olds can access up to 6 hours per day free early learning and childcare from August. There is a meeting to discuss this in school on the 1st May at 6pm. I would encourage all parents of pupils registered for nursery to come along!
We are really excited to be part of this at the start!
If you know of any other families this applies to in the area can you please pass on the details of the meeting.
It is the time of year where we ask the current P4s to apply for the musical tuition they would like next session. Current P5s and P6s can also fill this in if they have changed preferences or did not fill it in last year.
Please find the form attached.
Welcome back for term 4! It is a busy term with lots planned. Look out for a list of dates coming out soon.
In the coming week we have a visit from Glasgow Science Centre with ‘Body Works’ on tour.
Jennifer Thompson is coming in to deliver some CPR and first aid training with our P5-7 pupils.
We have a Celebration Assembly on Thursday – we LOVE to hear about achievements from out with school so please encourage your child/ren to bring in anything they have to celebrate.
Harry Rose is going to be working with P1/2 and P4 on Thursday too.
We have our whole school co-operative learning afternoon on Thursday too.
On Friday the nursery pupils from both sessions are going to attend a Folk Festival concert.
