We had our next Stay and Play sessions for our returning bairns. The nursery was buzzing with all the excitement and the bairns were keen to show off their setting.
After the bairns put lots of paper and paper towels in the water trays, we had a discussion about where paper comes from and that it’s not good for the environment to waste paper. This led to a paper-making session where we used the wet paper towels and a blender to make fine pulp. The bairns used a metal screen to sift through the pulp and form their paper. We left it to dry and can’t wait to see how the bairns use it next week – stay tuned!
The school has started wellbeing group sessions. This means that a mixed aged group of bairns visit the nursery each week. The nursery bairns have welcomed their new friends and like to involve them in their play.
