World Book Day Reading Breakfast (Friday)<\/p>\n

We were delighted to welcome so many of our families to celebrate World Book Day.\u00a0 While waiting on a space for lunch, the bairns listened to their friends’ favourite books.\u00a0 We had a great selection with lots of different animal stories and more.\u00a0 We gathered some quotes from the bairns about their WBD experiences – see if you can guess who said it!<\/p>\n

“I readed a book wi Luissa.\u00a0 It was Poppy and Sam.”<\/p>\n

“I readed da bat one, it was like bats were sleepin – Mr Bain readed it.”<\/p>\n

“I was reading my Beauty book n it had Beauty and the beast is in it.\u00a0 I was like Beauty.\u00a0 Mummy readed the owl book and he fell and hurted his leg.\u00a0 He just needed to find his mummy to get him a plaster.”<\/p>\n

“Me and my Mammy was reading da Highway Rat and we were going to read Snail and the Whale but I changed my mind and I went in the sandpit and my feet were freezing.”<\/p>\n

“I read a book with Mummy.\u00a0 We did The Hairy Toe.\u00a0 My Mum think it was really funny.”<\/p>\n

“My book I made, da lion dat eats a giraffe.”<\/p>\n

“I am a gingerbread man.\u00a0 He runs away and a fox eats him.\u00a0 Dats my favourite book.”<\/p>\n

“My Mam got me a ghost book.\u00a0 It was next to da passage.\u00a0 My Mam and Dad read my Ghost Hunt.”<\/p>\n

“Dad read me a monster book.\u00a0 Its eat a giant.”<\/p>\n

“We read the book that I made – the Viking one.\u00a0 They said it was great.”<\/p>\n

“Dad read a book, had some coffee, den he goed.\u00a0 Da tiger comed and he eats all da food.”<\/p>\n

“So my Mam readed da We’re All Going on a Bear Hunt.\u00a0 We used da persons and da bear for walking through da water.”<\/p>\n

“My Mum read the pop-up sun book with me and Ava.\u00a0 We saw the pop-up sun and the pop-up ice cream.”<\/p>\n
