sound<\/strong>, and the children have been working hard to spot and use this pattern in their reading and writing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"741\">Our <strong data-start=\"373\" data-end=\"397\">Explorer\u2019s Magic Bag<\/strong> delivered a <strong data-start=\"410\" data-end=\"430\">magnifying glass<\/strong> and a <strong data-start=\"437\" data-end=\"459\">letter from Brazil<\/strong>, which led to some fantastic writing. The children created their own <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"550\">detective stories<\/strong>, using the magnifying glass as a key clue in their mystery. The children reflected on what makes them unique and set <strong data-start=\"1841\" data-end=\"1859\">personal goals<\/strong> for something they want to grow or improve.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"1939\">\ud83c\udf0d Topic \u2013 Forces &amp; Energy<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1940\" data-end=\"2232\">Our big question this week was: <strong data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"2025\">\u201cWhat happens when forces are equal and unequal?\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"2025\" data-end=\"2028\" \/>We read <em data-start=\"2036\" data-end=\"2059\">The Great Paper Caper<\/em> and explored the forces involved in flying <strong data-start=\"2103\" data-end=\"2119\">paper planes<\/strong>. The children investigated how <strong data-start=\"2151\" data-end=\"2194\">pushes, pulls, lift, and air resistance<\/strong> impact speed, distance, and motion.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2234\" data-end=\"2253\">\ud83c\udf89 Other News<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2556\">On Friday, the whole school enjoyed <strong data-start=\"2290\" data-end=\"2302\">Big Play<\/strong> \u2014 an afternoon of open classrooms where everyone was free to explore, play, and spend time together. It was a fantastic opportunity to help build a strong sense of <strong data-start=\"2467\" data-end=\"2480\">community<\/strong>, with children of all ages sharing spaces, activities, and plenty of fun.
