Primary 3\/4 Weekly Round-Up \ud83c\udf1f<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another busy and fun-filled week in Primary 3\/4! The children have been learning in lots of different ways, showing great curiosity and teamwork. Here\u2019s a little peek at what we\u2019ve been up to:<\/p>\n

\u270f\ufe0f Literacy & Spelling<\/strong>
We\u2019ve been practising more tricky words this week, finding creative ways to help us remember them.\u00a0 We have been focusing on adding exciting sentence openers in our writing. Our magical dragon friend also returned, bringing us new stories and writing challenges. The class is helping him save Fairyland by reading and writing fairy tales \u2014 and their imaginations have been truly wonderful! They have even made clay fairyland items today!<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd22 Maths<\/strong>
This week we completed some assessments to help Mrs Teale check what we\u2019ve learned so far and what we still need to cover.\u00a0 Alongside this, we have been learning how to gather data from our science\u00a0 experiments\u00a0 and Heath and Wellbeing lesson and display it in bar graphs. The children enjoyed seeing how numbers and science can work together to help us make sense of our results.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf31 Our Topic \u2013 Plants<\/strong>
In our science work, we\u2019ve been busy setting up experiments! The celery experiment is helping us see how water travels through a plant\u2019s stem to reach the leaves, teaching us about water transportation and why it is vital for survival. We\u2019ve also been planting beans to investigate roots \u2014 looking closely at how they anchor a plant, absorb water, and provide nutrients. The children are acting like real scientists, making predictions, observing carefully, and recording what they notice as our experiments develop.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc96 Health & Wellbeing<\/strong>
We continue to grow as a class family by building trust, respect, and kindness. This week, we had thoughtful discussions about how everyone\u2019s opinions can be different \u2014 and why it\u2019s important to listen and show respect to each other\u2019s views.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been another fantastic week of learning, exploring, and caring for one another. We can\u2019t wait to see what next week brings! \ud83c\udf1f<\/p>\n
