\ud83d\udd22 Maths<\/h2>\n

In maths this week, we have been developing our mental maths strategies<\/strong>, continuing our work on adding in tens<\/strong> and then applying that knowledge to help us add 9 and 11 efficiently<\/strong>. The children worked hard to explain how they could adjust numbers using what they already knew about place value and number patterns.<\/p>\n

We also revisited place value<\/strong>, consolidating our understanding in a fun and engaging way through a lively game of Place Value Bingo<\/strong>, which proved to be a big hit with the class!<\/p>\n

Throughout our play we used Mrs Teale’s valentines petals to explore measurement in a fun and hands-on way, setting ourselves challenges like how many petals long the room is, a metre stick, or even a person \u2014 all discovered naturally through our play.<\/p>\n
