Baby Visit (Monday)
We had a lovely visit from a new nursery sibling, with their big brother proudly showing his friends the baby. The bairns discussed the baby’s hands and how small they were compared to their hands.
Transition Lunch (Tuesday)
The preschoolers had their first transition lunch this week. They lined up in the hall to receive their tray. They listened to the school dinner routines and with two more sessions planned, they will be experts before parents come in to join them for dinner.
Outdoor Play (Monday-Friday)
Our outdoor play has focused on water play, bug hunting and singing about the rain. The bairns have been engaged in sensory play with water, paint and shaving foam. Trevor put up our new basketball hoop and we’ve planted neeps.
Transition Classroom Visit and P.E. (Wednesday and Thursday)
During the P1 classroom visit this week, the bairns were set a colouring challenge where they had to listen out for three key words.
Furry Visitors (Wednesday)
One of our parents brought in their four kettlins for a visit and the bairns were keen to meet these furry friends. The bairns used gentle hands and watched out for claws.
Play and Learning (Monday-Friday)
Here is a selection of our play and learning from the rest of the week. The bairns have been engaged in construction with the big blocks, making a slide, fishing boats, a diving board and a shark. We have also had lots of brilliant snack helpers.
