Welcome back!  We were delighted to welcome the bairns back this week after the Easter holidays and hear their news from home and away.

Outdoor Play (Monday-Friday)

We have spent lots of time outside this week.  The bairns have balanced, climbed, created their own games, chased each other around the garden and had snack.  A few of the bairns went to the burn to collect new water for our tadpoles.

PlayTalkRead Visit (Wednesday)

The bairns and families were invited to attend a PlayTalkRead session in the club.  We listened to a story called Bunnies on a Boat which followed a group of mischievous bunnies having an adventure at the seaside.  After the story, the bairns explored the activities that were on offer.  They made bunny headbands, had a bunny picnic, tried to catch a fish, played in the moon sand and lots of other great games.  Then we gathered in a circle, taking hold of the stretchy blanket.  We pulled and pushed, moved up and down, side to side and in and out.  In another game, the bairns and their families made the fish jump on the blanket.  The bairns huddled under the blanket for Sleeping Bunnies to finish the session.

Play and Learning (Monday-Friday)

Here is a selection of our play and learning from the week.  The bairns have created sorting games, drawn lots of artwork, made playdough and caught up with their friends’ holiday news.
