Pupils learnt some key rules of the game:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passes must go\u00a0<strong>backwards<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The team must stay\u00a0<strong>behind the ball carrier<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>forward pass or drop<\/strong>\u00a0results in a\u00a0<strong>knock-on<\/strong>, giving possession to the other team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To reinforce these skills, we\u2019ve played a variety of fun and active games:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfaf\u00a0Canadian Goose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone starts with a ball. On command, balls are placed down and one is removed. Players without a ball become\u00a0<strong>robbers<\/strong>, trying to steal balls and pull flags from others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfc3\u00a0Flag Fury<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Players move freely, trying to\u00a0<strong>collect flags<\/strong>\u00a0from others and attach them to their own belts\u2014only one flag per person before moving on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udc3b\u00a0Bears and Buffaloes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pairs line up in the middle. On their team name being called, they run to score a try while the opposing team tries to\u00a0<strong>pull their tags<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udeaa\u00a0Great Escape<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Attackers start in a central square and try to\u00a0<strong>escape to the edge<\/strong>\u00a0without losing their tag, while defenders attempt to stop them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2744\ufe0f\u00a0Rugby Freeze Tag<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Catchers tag others using the ball. Tagged players\u00a0<strong>freeze with hands up<\/strong>\u00a0until freed by a high five.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83e\udeba\u00a0Inside the Raven\u2019s Nest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Four teams compete to collect balls from the centre.
