In Bell\u2019s Brae School we believe in an inclusive approach and are convinced that all pupils in the school benefit from our ASN Department.\u00a0 This allows all children to grow up with an awareness and acceptance of individual differences.\u00a0 Whenever possible children with additional support needs will be included in mainstream learning activities, usually with support.<\/p>\n
Within our Additional Support Needs Department we have four classes.\u00a0 The provision caters for pupils who have a range of Additional Support Needs, from moderate to complex. Classes are composite, matching children with similar interests and needs from different year groups.\u00a0 All classes have a mix of different abilities and needs.<\/p>\n
Children have the opportunity to work at their own level following Individual Educational Plans. They are taught in a supportive environment in which each individual\u2019s effort is recognised and valued.<\/p>\n
