I think you’ll agree that P1/2 were brilliant in their performance of ‘The Night Before Christmas’. They worked so hard learning all their songs, lines and stage directions. Well done P1/2, we are very proud of you 🙂

Primary 1 have learnt most of their singles sounds. We still have a few to go after the Christmas break!
We have been learning to hear the initial sound of a word and blend sounds together to read cvc words.
Here is a game which you can play at home to practise this.
Primary 2 have enjoyed craft club with Miss Smith. Here’re some photos of what they’ve been making!

Primary 1 have been learning to count accurately and to order numbers within 10. Here are some games which can consolidate this learning at home:
Learning to Count up to 15 with Teddy Numbers Interactive Maths Game
Caterpillar Ordering – An Ordering and Sequencing Game
Primary two are beginning to learn about place value. Here is a game which would be beneficial to play at home:
Place Value Basketball – Dienes Game for 5 to 8 Year Olds
They have also been working hard on addition within 10 and number bonds of 10. Having good recall of these will help as we move forward into addition and subtraction strategies within 20. Hit the button is a great game to practise these concepts with.
Hit the Button – Quick fire maths practise for 6-11 year olds
