World Book Day 2025

We celebrated World Book Day at Nursery. Lots of children and staff dressed up as favourite book characters and many enjoyed dressing up in Nursery dressing up costumes also.

Lots of superheroes came to Nursery!

We always have a range of books at Nursery for children to explore. Children made their own books at the craft table, folding paper in half and using tape to join them together to make a book whilst discussing what books they liked with their friends.

“I like the Gruffalo”.    “I’m making my own book”.    “I’m folding mine”.

We even had some matching character costumes at Nursery!

We used technology to look at lots of book characters which people were dressed up as, the children loved looking for Wally on the big screen.

We all went to visit the school library where there is a huge choice of books to look at. The children chose books to look at themselves or with friends and then listened to a group story with a staff member.

Listening to a story with our friends during together time on World Book Day. Each day before lunch we gather together to listen to a story, learn signs and learn songs and rhymes.
