We read “The Little Red Hen” using a PDF on the kindle Fire and then used our “story box” to retell it with mini figures.
We then watched Pie Corbett perform the story on You Tube. He uses a unique “storytelling approach” for children to remember stories with and results with improved literacy. This method was then taken up by the National Strategies ‘Talk for writing’ programme

We had a visit from the tooth fairy today
She helped us all with our tooth brushing and said how good we were all doing.
Then she read us a new story called “The Lost Smile” about a boy who searches to find his families smiles.
She gave us a copy to keep in Nursery so we can read it again.
