we grew tadpoles in our classroom
We fed them and looked after them until they were ready to release back into Trolla water.
We learned about the cycle of a frog.
Primary 4/5 had eggs to hatch in an incubator. Miss Smith let us come and see them. The incubator keeps the eggs warm like a sitting mother hen would do.

We learned about the “Three Billy Goats Gruff” story .
We started transition into Primary One.
We visited the lower primary class and learned with some of the primary children.
On March 2nd we dressed up and raised money for World Book Day.
Some o the adults and older children read with us.
The Uyeasound Up-Helly-Aa Jarl squad lead by Jarl Christopher Gray came to our school, parents and community were invited to a coffee morning and we sang songs and got to see the galley.
We joined in with the primaries to make a UHA display.
Individually decorating our own shield and helmets, even the staff got involved.
Mrs Thomson came into nursery and invited all under 5’s to attend a Viking themed book bug session.
We sang some Viking songs, played with lycra and got a fab Nick Sharratt story about dressing up.
We have been focusing on a winter animals.
