Chess club is starting again at lunchtimes for absolutely anybody in the school
It is on from 1230 to 1310 in rooms 15 and 16 (Maths and French)
This week, the club will operate everyday to allow practice for anyone thinking of going to the chess competition at the Museum this Saturday; see posters around the school for Inkster’s Junior Chess championship.
The club welcomes total beginners as well as more experienced players.
Interest will decide how many days the club operates in future weeks
If anybody has an unwanted forgotten chess clock that they would like to donate, we are looking for some to help assist our players prepare for competition conditions.
The new Pupil Council members met Kelvin Anderson and Kaylee Mouat to discuss siting a food bank donation point in the school which will aadd useful items for the Salvation Army scheme.
All secondary pupils had a session with the MSYPs to demonstrate their feelings towards the numerous items within the current MSYP manifesto.
