Thursday 18 August and a fine afternoon was had in the hill with P4/5/6/7 plus S3 pupils who bagged up 80 sacks of peats. Orders can be made via the school office (£4 per sack) on a first come basis. Thank you to the staff who accompanied and ably assisted and well done to the pupils who worked earnestly to tidy up the peat banks.

There be dinosaurs in Aith
Ray and Betty Ferrie from Michael’s Wood asked Aith School to help with preparations for the arrival of their Dinosaur Trail. S4 Art & Design pupils helped to paint the Board for Michael’s Wood, where the T-Rex was to be mounted. Layers of Acrylic Paint were applied onto a dark background to give depth to the forest scene.
Helpers were Collette Sinclair, Rhiannan Gray, Frances Walterson and Courtney Robertson.
Nobody realised how big and impressive the Dinosaur head would be until it arrived. It looks great set in the trees on its forest background board. Well done S4 pupils!
