Do you find reading difficult? Do you have dyslexia?
There are lots of ways to help you enjoy reading and studying.
Library Services
Use one of our great apps to access eBooks and eAudio. Amongst features, font and size can be changed, colours can be altered and text can be highlighted and read back to you using your device settings.
You will need your library borrower number and PIN – ask in the school library if you have forgotten.
The library can also provide a wide range of materials, including Barrington Stoke books, large print, mp3 books, graphic novels and audio books.
ICT Support
Text-to-speech is a computer voice that speaks text from a document or website. Many schools use ‘Talking Head’ which is installed on school computers.
You can change the colour contrast when using WORD to help reduce visual stress. Use design or page layout and then choose Page Colour.
