Burravoe Primary School

Eshaness and Northmavine

On Thursday we went to NorthMavine in Shetland. When we were going there we went past the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean at Mavis Grind. It’s the only place where you can see both seas!

After we went to the school, we went to have our lunch at the Braewick Café in Eshaness. I had scampi in a basket and a chocolate milkshake! It was very tasty!  We went to play on the play frame that was outside the Braewick Café and it was loads of fun! We looked at the Drongs then went to the lighthouse.

The light house was very old and it was built by Robert Stevenson, he built a lot of lighthouses!

We also went to the Tangwick Haa Museum. We saw some old toys and some new so we could compare now and then. Upstairs the theme is about schools!

We went home after that but it was a really great day!

  1. It sounds like you had a really fun day. When I was in Scotland I remember eating scampi. We don’t have it in Australia. We call them prawns. Prawns are quite expensive in Australia.
Tonight Mr Howlin and I are going to eat prawns on the barbie (or barbarque)with some steak and salad. Very yummy.
What is your favourite food? Mine is a fruit called mango.
