On Friday 27 March Creative Scotland launched THREE new funds;\u00a0a Bridging Bursary Fund<\/strong> for individuals\u00a0in immediate need which is simple and non-competitive,\u00a0Screen Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund,<\/strong> and a\u00a0repurposed Open Project Fund: Sustaining Creative Development.<\/strong><\/p>\n “Our aim is that these changes will enable individuals and organisations to sustain their creative work and practice in these extremely challenging times.”<\/em><\/p>\n The new COVID-19 Impact\u00a0Funds<\/strong><\/p>\n The\u00a0Creative Scotland<\/strong>\u00a0Bridging Bursary\u00a0Fund<\/strong>\u00a0will provide financial\u00a0support\u00a0for\u00a0individual\u00a0creative practitioners and\/or freelancers\u00a0who are most deeply impacted and disadvantaged by the cancellation of work due to the COVID-19 emergency\u00a0to sustain their creative practice\u00a0in Scotland.<\/p>\n The\u00a0\u00a32 million\u00a0fund will offer one-off bursary payments\u00a0of between \u00a3500 and \u00a32,500 to help support the immediate needs.\u00a0Applications to this fund opened on\u00a0Monday 30 March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A \u00a31.5million\u00a0Screen\u00a0Scotland\u00a0Bridging Bursary<\/strong>\u00a0programme will provide one-off bursaries of \u00a3500 to \u00a32,500 to freelance PAYE and self-employed screen sector workers who are experiencing immediate financial difficulty due to loss of income as a result of the Covid-19. Applications to this fund opened on\u00a0Monday 30 March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Open Funding: Sustaining Creative Development<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(a revised approach to the organisation\u2019s Open Project Fund)\u00a0will\u00a0support\u00a0individuals\u00a0and organisations to continue to develop work in the coming months.\u00a0Applicants will be encouraged to use funding to explore how best to sustain their practice, and reimagine their work,\u00a0during the current climate\u00a0and in the months to come.\u00a0Funds may also be used for the development and presentation of work.\u00a0The\u00a0\u00a37.5m fund will support\u00a0up to 12 months of activity with a maximum award of \u00a350,000.
