P4, 5 and 6 present ‘Meet the Muggle Wumps’

Last Thursday we performed a play called ‘Meet the Muggle Wumps’ to practice our expression, intonation and timing. This mean’s  that we had to bring the sentence to life. My favourite line was “Run a circus, you couldn’t run an egg and spoon race”. The audience found it funny too because they laughed.

Thank you to p 1-3 for being a good audience and to the teachers for there feedback.

Meet the Twits

Meet the Twits

Last Friday we performed a play to primary 1 to 3 called the Twits to practise our intonation, expression and timing. Expression means that we had to bring the sentence to life. Intonation means inferred meaning, how a characters tone changes.  Timing means helping the listener to understand the sentence.

Fraser played Mr Twit and Saskia played Mrs Twit. My part was actor 5 which was a small part. My favourite part was “Oh do shut up you old hag’’ because it was funny. The audience found it funny too!

Thank you to primary 1 to 3 for being a good audience and for sitting nicely. It was  fun preforming to an audience.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

I recommend Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling and illustrated by William Webb. The story is fiction, fantasy, scary, adventure and mystery. The book was first published by Bloomsbury in 1997.

My Favourite character’s name is the Sorting Hat. His personality is sorting people into the houses Gryffindor, Slytheren, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. His physical appearance is a talking hat. I feel sad for the character because all he ever does is sort people into houses.

The setting is at Hogwarts which is a school of witchcraft and wizardry,  platform 9 3/4 where the Hogwarts express leaves, Privet Drive where the Dursley’s live and Diagon Alley in London which only magic people can enter.

The first part of the plot is set at the Dudsleys house, number 4 Privet Drive. The second part of the plot is the sorted into the houses Gryffindor, Slytheren, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. The third part of the plot is battling Voldmort.
