On Wednesday the 18th of September P5-7 had the Kelso Heritage Orchard people came to visit. They came because they wanted to involve us in with the new Kelso Heritage Orchard.
The first task we did was modern archaeology. We had to sort items you would find in your house and figure out who would use them. The next task we did was a paper jigsaw of a jug because archaeologist mainly put together their finds. Our final task was pottery making because archaeologists mainly find pottery.
I would like to say a big thank you to Hazel, Steve, Hannah and Nicola for sharing their knowledge with us.

On Tuesday 21st of May we went to the P5 Countryside day at the Borders Event Centre. I really enjoyed the farrier because I like to see them take a bit of straight metal and bend it into a horse shoe. I also liked exploring the animal transporter because it was fun to see what an animal felt like. Oh and I also liked to see and feel the chickens, I thought they felt soft. The chicks were really cute and the baby ducks was only 1 day old.
Thank you to the organisers and to everyone who gave up their time to share their skills.

In March, we entered the John Byrne competition. We were learning to render drawings using dots and cross hatching. In the competition we were not allowed to shade in our picture. We practised by drawing nature, like bees, ants and flowers.
I enjoyed drawing my picture and I was proud of it at the end.
