‘Meet the Muggle Wumps’

We have presented our second radio play called Meet the Muggle Wumps, the story is based on The Twits by Roald Dahl. We have been practising our use of intonation, expression and timing when speaking aloud to others. This time we even added sound effects with drums and a rain stick as it was partly based in Africa. My favourite line was ‘Their friend, the Roly Poly bird came to say hello.’ I also liked when Lucas told a short story which saw Roly Poly bird visiting every day.

Thank you to Primary 1 – 3  and Mrs Morgan for being a great audience and to Ms McTeir and Mrs Dunkley for their feedback, they encouraged us to make it lively and fun. We are also going to present it to family and friends at our end of year Celebration Assembly.

Daily Mile

At Sprouston Primary School , we are passionate about running the daily mile. For the last couple of weeks we have changed our track to make it more interesting. We have put tyres out on the tarmac to make it longer, and to make it even better we run through our willow tunnel.

I think everybody is happier with our new track and I like to run it.  (Rory P6)
