Today we had the amazing opportunity to visit Kersquarter Farm and found out about arable and livestock farming. We started by walking the steep hill up to the farm where we were met by the owners Mr and Mrs Church, and by Robert. After a short break we started the tour of the farmyard and grounds. We first visited the wildlife pond where we saw some moorhens and we also had a look at the beautiful view. We then made our way to the farmyard where we had a look at the horses and hens. After that we had a look at the grain dryer which is a machine that dries the grains. I thought this was a great opportunity to be a part of and would happily go again. My favourite part was definitely feeding the hens because I’m interested in animals.
I would like to say a special thank you to Mr and Mrs Church and also to Robert for welcoming us onto your farm.
