Numicon – options for bookable professional learning sessions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. For participants new to Numicon – Introduction to Numicon Approach \u2013 5 hours (can be focused on in 3 hours, but then don\u2019t explore as many mathematical concepts)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This is focused on the pedagogy, links to Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract, introduction to the manipulatives, exploration of key mathematical concepts \u2013 equivalence, adding & subtracting, multiplying & dividing<\/p>\n

    1. For participants experienced with Numicon \u2013 probably advise a 3 hour session, but could combine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      A few ideas, but sessions could be focused on \u2026<\/p>\n

      • Fractions, Decimals and Percentages \u2013 this would be more relevant to First\/Second Level<\/li>\n
      • Number sense, fluency and place value<\/li>\n
      • Problem Solving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
