The following may be of interest to all schools;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jasschools.org.uk\/\">Join in Award Scheme<\/a> \u2013 previously the Junior Award Scheme for Schools, this programme is an inclusive, stand-alone award, and an ideal foundation for progressing to other awards.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/juniorduke.com\/\">Junior Duke Award<\/a> \u2013 similar format to, but not associated with, the Duke of Edinburgh award, but is targeted at younger pupils. Age relevant programmes for pupils from 3yrs \u2013 13yrs old.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.outdoor-learning.org\/standards\/iol-awards-and-accreditation\/national-outdoor-learning-award.html\">National Outdoor Learning Award<\/a> \u2013 free OL specific programme with main themes of development of self, others and the environment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scra-online.co.uk\/WhatWeDo\/JuniorRangersAndWildlifeChampions\">Junior Rangers and Wildlife Champions<\/a> \u2013 Junior Ranger award for 11-18yr olds, Wildlife Champion award aimed at 8-11yr olds<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rspb.org.uk\/helping-nature\/what-you-can-do\/activities\/wild-challenge\/wild-challenge-for-schools\">RSPB Wild Challenge <\/a>\u2013 series of challenges based around experiencing nature, and helping nature<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org\/eco-schools\/\">Keep Scotland Beautiful Eco Schools<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org\/leaf\/\">Learning About Forests<\/a> programmes \u2013 national programmes with good resources and support, including teacher training and examples of the awards in action<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John Muir Award \u2013 alternative programmes With the current stoppage on the John Muir Award, schools may be looking for alternative Outdoor Learning and Learning for Sustainability based programmes for their pupils.
