Through working collaboratively with school leaders, members of their teams and partners, they devise and contribute to the school\u2019s vision and values, ensuring that the strategic direction of the school is communicated effectively with all stakeholders.<\/small><\/p>\n<p><small>Leading from the middle and middle leadership can be understood in several different ways which apply to all practitioners at all stages of their career. However, middle leaders can be described as those who have a specified leadership remit beyond the classroom and are provided with resources to carry this out. Such roles might include \u2013 but are not limited to \u2013 class teacher, depute head teacher, principal teacher or head of faculty.<\/small><\/p>\n<p><small>Leadership Activities:<\/small><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><small>Leading in a working or task group<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Leading an aspect of:<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Planning learning which is inter-disciplinary or cross-sector<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Assessment and moderation<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Cluster leadership opportunities<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Self-evaluation and critical reflection process<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Experiential, action or enquiry based learning<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Professional dialogue with colleagues, other professionals, parents and learners<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Learning about aspects of the curriculum or pedagogical practice<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Practitioner enquiry\/action research<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Critical analysis of reading, learning and impact on professional practice<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Peer support \u2013 coaching and mentoring others (i.e. Probationers)<\/small><\/li>\n<li><small>Secondments, acting posts and
