The Teacher Induction Scheme allows probationer teachers to be considered for full registration within one school year (190 teaching days).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Teacher Induction Scheme offers a number of benefits, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a maximum class contact time of 0.82 full time equivalent (GTC Scotland endorsed)<\/li>\n<li>dedicated time set aside for Professional Learning<\/li>\n<li>access to a teacher for support throughout the induction year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Click here to view our current <a href=\"https:\/\/glowscotland.sharepoint.com\/:f:\/r\/sites\/InspireLearningAcademy\/Shared Documents\/NQTs 2024-25\/Training?csf=1&amp;web=1&amp;e=fGiLg8\" data-wplink-url-error=\"true\">NQT Professional Learning Calendar<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/glowscotland.sharepoint.com\/:f:\/r\/sites\/InspireLearningAcademy\/Shared Documents\/NQTs 2024-25\/Induction Documents?csf=1&amp;web=1&amp;e=A6MwtJ\" data-wplink-url-error=\"true\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">NQT Support Handbook<\/span><\/a> for detailed information on the Teacher Induction Scheme. The scheme is not compulsory; probationers can choose to follow the Flexible Route instead.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gtcs.org.uk\/probationer-teachers\/the-flexible-route\/\">Flexible Route<\/a> is a way to complete probationary service for teachers who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have decided to opt out of the Teacher Induction Scheme<\/li>\n<li>are not eligible to join the Teacher Induction Scheme<\/li>\n<li>can&#8217;t commit to a full-time post<\/li>\n<li>want to complete their probationary period somewhere other than a Scottish state school<\/li>\n<li>are registered in more than one subject, and are looking to gain full registration in their second subject<\/li>\n<li>It is vital that Flexible Route Probationers notify the headteacher of the school that they have a probationary period to complete.
