The types of representatives and how they work for their constituents will be reflected upon first. You will then look at Scotland\u2019s main political parties and electoral systems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Unit 2 \u2013 Crime and Law<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This unit covers a broad range of issues relating to crime. Firstly, you will have to consider what constitutes a crime in society. Then you will analyse what the main causes of crime are. In Peebles High School we study International Terrorism. Terrorism has grown in the last 20 years, both in the UK and further afield, making it an incredibly important issue to study in S4. You will begin by looking at the various causes of terrorism, and then move on to examine the negative impacts terrorism has on individuals, countries, and the wider international community.
